Questions
Why is remote the thing you charge for?
Because it's the honest line. On your own network your Mac and your phone talk directly and it costs us nothing, so it stays unlimited and free. Reaching your Mac from a café is the part with real work behind it, and it's the part worth paying for.
What happens when the 40 minutes run out?
The session ends cleanly, with a warning at five minutes and one minute left, never a frame cut mid-action. It comes back at midnight. Your Mac keeps the count, not your phone, so it's the same 40 minutes across every device you've paired.
Is the Mac app or the CLI ever paid?
No. The macon CLI is MIT-licensed and open source. The Mac app is free — it hosts the server your phone connects to and it's where you grant permissions, so putting it behind a price would make no sense.
Does Pro cover both my iPhone and my iPad?
Yes. It's one purchase on your Apple Account, and Restore Purchases brings it to any device signed into the same account.
Can I buy it without the App Store?
That one is coming. Checkout on this site will be handled by Paddle, and the receipt will carry a code that unlocks Pro in the app. For now the App Store is the way to buy it, and the Pro page has the detail. Pasting a code to restore a purchase you already own works either way.
